Deep Purple – Rapture of the Deep (20th Anniversary Remix) – [2 CD]

Description

Originally released in 2005, ‘Rapture of the Deep’ returns 20 years on with a complete remix and remaster, striking new artwork, and a bonus disc of never-before-released recordings.

Newly mixed under the supervision of Roger Glover and analogue-mastered at Hamburgs renowned Chameleon Studios, ‘Rapture of the Deep’ finally shines with clarity and colour. Fans will hear it bloom for the first time.

This anniversary edition offers a rare insight into the bands creative process: The bonus disc includes previously unreleased studio jams and instrumental takes from 2005, recorded during the songwriting process, and mixed for the first time in 2025. Among them is ‘Closing Note’, a never-before-heard instrumental piece by Steve Morse.

With Deep Purple riding high on the success of their latest No. 1 record =1, the time is right to (re)discover the album that set the path for Deep Purple in the 21st century.
