Harms, Chris – 1980 [CD]

Description

Chris Harms, known for his musical versatility with his main band, LORD OF THE LOST, announces his first solo album, 1980, set for release on January 31, 2025 via Napalm Records. Unlike his main band’s rock sound, 1980 explores the atmospheric synth-pop of the ’80s, blending electronic, wave, and goth influences. Harms calls it “a strange but successful mix of Depeche Mode, Modern Talking, and Sandra, with less perm and mullet.” Songs like “I Love You, ” “She Called Me Diaval, ” and duets with Sven Friedrich (Solar Fake) and Ronan Harris (VNV Nation) offer a unique journey through synth-driven nostalgia. 1980 embodies Harms’ artistic breadth and passion, marking a new peak in his career without following trends-just pure musical dedication. Genre: Synthwave/Retrowave, Electropop, Goth.
