Crushed – no scope [CD]

Description

A triumphant yet bittersweet quality radiates across no scope the full-length debut from crushed out September 26th on Ghostly International delivered with dream pop precision on its lead single starburn. Chugging bass and shimmering guitar lines encircle them on the brink of despair, searching for a divine intervention, or cosmic luck, as Shawn Durkan explains, to make me feel like my life could eventually add up to something that made sense to me. I was reflecting on how desperate I’ve felt for it all to amount to something worthy of the sacrifice. A stable job, a family, my overall well-beingthe fear that maybe I’d spent my life in vain searching in the wrong places for some kind of satisfaction and self-worth. Past press includes Pitchfork, NPR, and Dazed.
