GUM – Blue GUM Way – LP – 180g Opaque Sky Blue PET Record [MAR 6]

Description

LP – Limited Edition 180g Injection-molded PET Opaque Sky Blue Record in jacket with printed inner-sleeve.

Jay Watson has been releasing records under his GUM moniker for over a decade, & the recordings have followed his wildest creative impulses. For his 7th studio album, GUM has focussed on 9 songs that explore a specific mood & sound.

Blue Gum Way sets its roots deep into a widescreen, jazz-informed & psychedelia, one influenced by the the likes of Talk Talk & Radioheads A Moon Shaped Pool. This LP is the work of an artist who has reached the clearest sense of what he wants to say.

Album Background:

Chewing gum is a soft, cohesive substance designed to be chewed without being swallowed. Modern chewing gum is composed of gum base, sweeteners, softeners/plasticizers, flavours, colours, and, typically, a hard or powdered polyol coating. Its texture is reminiscent of rubber because of the physical-chemical properties of its polymer, plasticizer, and resin components, which contribute to its elastic-plastic, sticky, chewy characteristics.
