SWEET PILL – Still There’s A Glow – LP – Blue Eco Mix Colour Vinyl [MAR 13]

Description

LP – Limited Edition Blue Eco Mix Colour Vinyl.

Sweet Pills sophomore album, Still Theres a Glow,is a resilient response to the mounting pressuresfollowing their breakout debut, Where The Heart Is.Facing exhaustion, the band scrapped early demos toprioritise mental health, ultimately crafting a rawdocument of self-reflection that vocalist ZaynaYoussef calls the hardest thing Ive had to do.

Marking a significant evolution in their creativedynamic, the new album is the first written fully as acollaborative unit by Youssef, guitarists JayceWilliams and Sean McCall, bassist Ryan Cullen, &drummer Chris Kearney. Recorded at GradwellHouse with longtime producers Matt Weber & DaveDownham, the record aims to bottle the kineticenergy of their live showsperformances that haveearned them endorsements from stars like HayleyWilliams and Doja Cat. The resulting sound is anelevated mix of math-rock intricacy, urgent punk, and heartfelt emo.

In support of the album, Sweet Pill will embark on aglobal tour, headlining clubs and performing atfestivals. As a woman of colour in the alternative scene, Youssef hopes the album and tour will foster ajudgment-free community for fans. Still, Theres aGlow stands as proof of the bands survival andgrowth, inviting listeners to find their own light at theend of the tunnel.
