Description
LP – Reissue On 180 Gram Vinyl
Seasons in the Abyss is the fifth studio album by American thrash metal band Slayer, released on October 9, 1990, through Def American Records. They began writing songs for the album almost immediately after completing the South of Heaven Tour. Seasons in the Abyss expanded upon the slower, moodier direction of South Of Heaven, and explored even darker lyrics, meditating on the horrors of the war, nuclear destruction, street violence, and murder. The title songs video was filmed in Egypt and showed the band thrashing in and around one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Kerry King remembered to gain access to these hallowed spaces, We bribed everybody with porn and cigarettes. Its amazing the doors those open.
