Of all the great unheralded bands that emerged from the mid ’60s British Beat boom, the legend of The Birds continues to endure. Not merely as the starting point in Ronnie Wood’s long and successful career, but for being one of the best R&B outfits to tread the boards, leaving a small but important body of recorded work behind them.
