Description
LP – Reissue On Black Vinyl
Gurus Jazzmatazz, Vol. 1, originally released in 1993, is one of the first albums to combine a live jazz band with hip hop production and rapping. Guru envisioned bringing together a diverse mix of jazz talent, both old and new school, includingLonnie Liston Smith, Branford Marsalis, Ronny Jordan, Donald Byrd, and Roy Ayers, alongside vocalists such as Carleen Anderson, NDea Davenport (Brand New Heavies), and French rapper MC Solaar. The result is a timeless classic that bridges genres. Essential.
