Description

LP – Standard Edition black Vinyl pressed at Anthem Vinyl, Co. Kildare.Fight Like Apes frontwoman MayKay delivers highly anticipated self-titled debut album.

On 10 October, MayKay will release her first solo album on GrainStore Records. Known for her fearless energy as the frontwoman of Fight Like Apes and for a string of collaborations across the Irish music scene, shes now taken a step she never thought she would.

After years of great bands and deadly collaborations, Ive finally done the solo thing, she says. The album has, as she puts it, been a long time coming, and follows the release of Busted, a song about the wry dance between trust and mistrust. Its a collection that reflects two decades of making music, but still manages to feel like a surprise, even to its creator.
