Description
CD – Indies Only Release
The Freedom Affairs self-titled sophomore album is a soulful fusion of Muscle Shoals and Memphis, blending impassioned themes of inequity, love, and togetherness. Inspired by a chance meeting with Grammy-winning engineer Boo Mitchell at the legendary Royal Studios, the band follows up 2020s Freedom Is Love with this ten-song masterpiece, channeling the timeless charm of Southern Soul. Fronted by a powerhouse female trio and backed by a tight 6-piece band,, this record cements their sound with enduring melodies, rich arrangements, and a gritty pulse reminiscent of Al Green and Ann Peebles.
