Gatekeepers – Diary Of A Teenage Prophet [Colored Vinyl] (Gate)

Description

Long in the making and rich in imagination, Diary of a Teenage Prophet completes composer-producer Alex Wroten’s Gatekeepers Trilogy with a darkly funny, genre-defying sci-fi epic that blurs the line between philosophy and pop. The story follows Bonnie Brown, a teenage eco-rebel who’s cryogenically frozen during a nuclear apocalypse and awakens thousands of years later to discover her teenage diary has become the basis for a world religion.Featuring a staggering cast of collaborators – including members of Cheer-Accident, Shawn Phillips, Henry Kaiser, Amy Denio, Hugh Banton (Van der Graaf Generator), Morgan gren (Kaipa, Mats/Morgan), Ron Geesin, Fernando Perdomo and more – the album expands Wroten’s surreal sonic universe into something both hilarious and unsettling.Available as a 2-LP color vinyl edition housed in a fully illustrated gatefold featuring the complete lyrics – a lavish physical artifact for this visionary 50-collaborator finale.
