Herman’s Hermits – Only Last Night [Indie Exclusive] (10in) [Indie Exclusive]

Description

In 1964 Peter Noone was still just a teenager who had already tasted fame as Len Fairclough’s son in the soap opera Coronation Street which is still running today. At that time Harvey Lisberg was a frustrated songwriter who discovered and managed Herman and the Hermits with lead singer Peter Noone as ‘Herman’. “Only Last Night” (Lisberg/Silverman) was Herman and the Hermits first and only demo recording before Mickey Most insisted they recruit a new drummer and lead guitarist. But this first demo recording encapsulates the pure, unpolished energy of a band on the cusp of something good.To celebrate it’s Diamond Anniversary, Harvey Lisberg and Good Time Records bring you this special edition. Enjoy a nostalgic journey back to the early 1960s when the world first fell in love with these cheeky lads from Manchester and lead singer Peter Noone.Flip the record to discover an updated version of the song by up-and-coming DJ Something Good.
