Holocene – Spurr: 30th Anniversary (Aus) [CD]

Description

Holocene added a refreshingly melodic blast of guitar pop to the sound of the heavy grunge bands that were prevalent in the 1990s. The Holocene sound is boisterous, harmony-driven power pop, with crunchy guitars and intergalactic. Their imagery was punchy, bright, and fun. Equally blissed-out and emotionally resonant, their sound invited comparisons with The Go-Go’s, Redd Kross, Veruca Salt, The Bangles, and The Breeders. ” New digital and radio single “Celestion’ released on October 2 ” Album includes their cover of Badfinger’s ‘Flying’ ” Popular band with the 90s Sound As Ever Facebook group (12K members) ” The band are playing live shows to launch the new single and album reissue
