Kaygee’s – Keep On Bumpin & Masterplan (Blk) (Fra) [LP]

Description

Keep on Bumpin’ & Masterplan by Kay-Gees returns to vinyl-a deep-cut treasure from the golden era of funk, originally released in 1974. As protgs of Kool & the Gang, the Kay-Gees delivered a potent mix of driving grooves, tight horn arrangements, and infectious energy that made them a standout act in the mid-’70s funk and soul scene. This album brings together the raw party spirit of “Keep on Bumpin’” with the more sophisticated musical vision of “Masterplan,” resulting in a dynamic, rhythm-heavy collection built for the dancefloor. Tracks like “You’ve Got to Keep on Bumpin’” and “Wondering” combine soulful melodies with percussive swagger and brass-fueled funk, while “Master Plan” and “Ain’t No Time” show off a more ambitious, expansive approach. The group’s youthful exuberance and tight musicianship shine through every track. Reissued on vinyl, Keep on Bumpin’ & Masterplan is a must-have for collectors of funk, soul, and 1970s dance music. It captures the raw, joyful essence of a band ready to groove and experiment-perfect for crate diggers and funk lovers alike.
