Description
Recorded in 1976, this album blends socially conscious themes with tight funk grooves. Horns, bass, drums, keyboards, and guitar lock in with precision, while each track balances message and momentum. From the political urgency of Boston, Mississippi, to the driving energy of U.S.A. (Union of South Afrika), subtle interplay and crisp arrangements make this a rare snapshot of 70s funk and soul at it’s most inventive.
