Pre-Order: Rupaul – Foxy Lady (30th Anniversary) (Remastered) [CD]

Description

RuPauls Foxy Lady is a high-gloss, funk-infused pop statement that captures the superstar at the height of her 90s cultural takeover. Released in 1996 as the follow-up to her breakthrough Supermodel of the World, the album delivered club-ready hits like Snapshot, which became a Top 5 smash on the Billboard Dance chart and solidified RuPauls status as a dance-floor powerhouse.

Foxy Lady blends house, R&B, and glitter-coated pop with Rus signature charisma, weaving empowerment, camp, and diva bravado into every hook. The albums vibrant production – courtesy of Eric Kupper, Richard Humpty Vission, and other dance heavyweights – makes it feel like a runway playlist built for strutting and celebrating.

Though overlooked by mainstream radio at the time, it became a fan-favorite era, widely embraced in clubs and by LGBTQ+ audiences who saw RuPaul pushing drag into the pop mainstream long before it was common. Today, Foxy Lady stands as a bold, joyfully unapologetic snapshot of RuPauls expanding empire – an album that still sparkles with confidence, glamour, and attitude.
