Red Quartet is a modern jazz quartet with original music inspired by the golden age of the 60s.
With Aksel and Lyder Red at the forefront and Swedish star drummer Cornelia Nilsson (Aaron Parks) behind the drums, the band delivers energetic and lively interplay with Ola Hyer (Cortex) elegantly gluing it together with stoic double bass. The band was originally put together for the Tedansfestivalen in 2024, and in the wake of that they recorded their debut album at Vetle Junker.
