Description

30th Anniversary Edition Clear Vinyl LP!
Remixed & Remastered!

Three decades ago, Selena Quintanilla’s iconic and chart-topping albumAmor Prohibidomade history by being the first Tejano album to reach #1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Album Chart. This achievement gifted Selena the recognition of becoming the second female Latin artist in history to top the chart, while simultaneously being the first female Latin artist in history to chart a “non-crossover” recording on the Billboard 200.

To celebrate the anniversary, the album has been newly remixed and remastered. This marks the first time the album will be available on vinyl. The LP is pressed on transparent clear vinyl in gatefold jacket.

a dynamic, charismatic singer…the record is her strongest album and shows why she was the biggest Tejano star of the ’90s-Stephen Thomas Erlewine, AllMusic, 5/5

Amor Prohibido, is a universal, glittering pop core. The techno-cumbia title track tells the real-life story of her grandparents, who fell in love across class lines. It’s a Latina fairy tale, if ever there was one.-Rolling Stone
