Description
7” – Limited Edition Black Vinyl.
The second 45 from Got A Story To Tell offers up two staff favourites. The moody,
mid-tempo move My Heart is Drowning opens with a foreboding, echo-drenched
drip that lurks behind singer Josh Laes tale of a forlorn lover whose past mistakes
have leg him drowning in despair.
With its brooding piano and gritty bassline this song would track well in classic R&B
and soul circles with equal command. Stuck in the Mud also leans towards an earlier
R&B sound but with a subtle tinge of gospel via the call and response vocals that
permeate this impeccably heartfelt composition.
Tracklist:
A: My Heart Is Drowning
B: Stuck In The Mud
